Barr. William Orleans Oduro

William Orleans Oduro is one of Ghana’s most prominent and respected lawyers—a leading expert in company law and corporate counselling, and a major influence on current Ghanaian business law.

William Orleans Oduro legal achievements are significant, but his reputation also reflects accomplishments in the corporate and commercial spheres. Doing business in Ghana requires extensive cooperation between public and private interests. William Orleans Oduro offers ample experience on both sides. He contributed extensive services and expertise to the divestiture of several state-owned enterprises, including Ghana Oil Palm Development Company Limited. 

And he was the project legal advisor to the successful listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange of Produce Buying Company Limited and Cocoa Processing Company Limited. 

He is one of the most-recognised Ghanaian experts in corporate law and intellectual property, and has been instrumental in making corporate counselling and corporate governance an area of expertise for contemporary Ghanaian lawyers.

He has conducted cases leading to landmark decisions in company law, commercial law, intellectual property law and constitutional law amongst others. 

His special areas of expertise include business development, legal interpretation, restructuring and reorganisation, banking and finance, commercial law and intellectual property. He is recognised as an expert in legal drafting and in the interpretation of Ghana’s Companies Act 1963 (Act 179). 

He was also a member of the team of legal experts who drafted the Model Law on Trademarks for English-speaking Africa for the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). 

He has extensive exposure in banking and finance in Ghana. He was a director of Ghana Commercial Bank LTD (now GCB Bank Ltd).

 William also serves on the Boards of various companies, including Financial Investment Trust of Bank of Ghana, Mainstream Reinsurance Company Limited, Eximguaranty Company Ghana Limited and The Royal Senchi Limited.

Barr. Kwaku Obeng Mireku

Barr. Kwaku Obeng Mireku represents various companies and individuals in corporate and commercial litigations, arbitrations (domestic and international) and undertakes general transactional work. 

Kwaku has extensive experience in Arbitration, either as Counsel or as an Arbitrator and heads the firms Arbitration practice group.  

Clients value Kwaku’s vast and varied litigation experience. He has argued successfully before all the Superior Courts of Ghana, either as Lead Counsel or as part of Asomdwoe Co-Chambers & Partners team.  

He was part of the firm’s team that won the supreme court case of Ps Investment vs Ceredec, which is the leading Ghanaian case on Company law and minority shareholder projection in Ghana. 

Kwaku’s keen interest in sports law stems from his football playing days in school, and his foray into part time football management.

Bertha Yeboah Asuamah

Barr. Bertha Yeboah Asuamah is one of the leading corporate lawyers in Ghana, with experience leading some of Ghana’s highest-profile corporate transactions. 

An excellent litigation lawyer with experience in all Ghanaian courts, Bertha has drafted various commercial agreements and advised a number of corporate clients in and outside the courtroom.

Barr. Yaw Wiredu Peprah

Barr. Yaw Wiredu Peprah conducts diverse court cases on behalf of local and foreign individuals, local and international companies, and multinational businesses. 

He’s made an immediate impact on the firm and Ghanaian law. In his very first year of practice, he handled aspects of a Supreme Court case involving a multinational company that was reported in the Supreme Court of Ghana Law Reports. Nana Yaw is adept at due diligence, negotiations and business consultation along with legal advice.

 His strong background in information technology has made Asomdwoe Co-Chambers & Partners arguably the most technologically advanced law firm in Ghana. He heads the firm’s Litigation and Energy practice.
